Albert William “Bill” Hoeppner, 82, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

 

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Lexington Memory Gardens in Lexington, MO.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Mid-Missouri Tractor Club Scholarship Fund.  Memories of Bill and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

 

Bill was born on October 17, 1939, in Lexington, MO, to Albert H. and Alva O. (Woodruff) Hoeppner.  He graduated from Mayview High School in 1957.  After high school Bill enlisted in the United States Navy serving from 1957 until being honorably discharged in 1960.  On June 11, 1961, Bill was united in marriage to Rosalea Karen Lambert in Brookfield, MO, at the Park Baptist Church.  They have celebrated 60 wonderful years together.  Bill retired after 32 years of service from the Gleaner Combine Plant in Independence, MO.  He also farmed for many years.  Bill was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local #1958.  Bill had a passion for collecting Allis Chalmers Tractors and was a member of the Missouri Allis-Chalmers Club.  With that passion, he and Jim Stewart founded the Mid-Missouri Tractor Club in 2009.  Bill served as President of the tractor club from 2009-2020.  To date the club has well over 100 members.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Bill enjoyed coon hunting.  He will be greatly missed.

 

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Hoeppner of Lexington, MO; two sons, Mark Allen Hoeppner and Andrew William Hoeppner, both of Lexington, MO; one sister, Norma Mittelhauser of Mayview, MO; two brothers, Wayne Hoeppner and wife, Dorothy of Warsaw, MO and Allen Hoeppner and wife, Becky of Mayview, MO; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

 

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Hoeppner.
