Violet “Elaine” Denton, 68 of Higginsville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Higginsville, MO.
Elaine’s family will have a private inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Preferred Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home. Elaine was born on December 30, 1951 to Solen Leonard and Hattie Irene (Feldman) Fitzwater. She married Clarence “Bub” Denton, Sr., on April 13, 1969. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2014. Elaine worked as a waitress for many years, mostly at the Victorian Peddler in Lexington. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Elaine enjoyed going to the lake.
Survivors include a son, Clarence “Bubby” Denton, Jr. and wife Kathy of Higginsville; two grandchildren, Ciara Marie Denton and Madi Elaine Denton both of Higginsville; four brothers, Steven Fitzwater of Lexington, MO, Ricky Fitzwater and wife Susan of Urbana, MO, John Thomas Fitzwater and wife Sandy of Dover, MO, and Leonard Wayne Fitzwater and wife Cheri of South Carolina; three sisters, Kathy Freeman and husband Mark of Republic, MO, Kimberly Head and husband Darrel of Higginsville, MO, and Kristy Ridenour and husband Richard of Crane, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Fitzwater.
