Ronald Lee Yager, 1st, 79 of Lexington, Missouri formerly of Richmond, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at home surrounded by family.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Per Ronald’s wishes cremation. Ronald was born on October 30, 1939 in Kansas City, KS to John Lewis Yager and Violet Cleo (Fields) Yager. He owned and operated many welding shops throughout the area. Ronald was married to Margaret Ann (Davis) Yager, to that union four children were born. They later divorced and he is survived by his wife Mary Jane (Farley) Yager of Blue Springs, MO. He was a member of the American Welding Society, NRA, and the Ft. Osage Muzzle Loaders. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising horses.

Survivors include Ronald’s wife, Mary Jane Yager of Blue Springs, MO; three children, Ronald Lee Yager, II and wife Georgia of Higginsville, Lisa Kathleen Buckler and husband Scott of Odessa, MO and Allie Loraine Overstreet of Higginsville, MO; four step-children, Susan Spinler and husband Marty of Blue Springs, MO, Greg Hickman and wife Lin of Thailand, Karen Head and husband Brian and Kenny Hickman and wife Louise both of Arkansas; a son-in-law, Roy Frye of Odessa, MO; 23 grandchildren, Virginia, Stephen, Kevin, Amy, Julie, Timothy, Melany, Sarah, Marie, Joseph, Zachary, Daniel, Leah, Shelby, Ryan, Haley, Brooke, Derek, Christian, Sierra, Jody, Makenzie and Caleb; 30 great grandchildren; a brother David Yager of McAllen, Texas; three sisters, Karen Bennett of Charlotte, South Carolina, Marilynne Caldwell of Gladstone, MO and Kathy Zercher and husband Tom of Rockwall, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Marie Frye.
