Naomi Grace (Huff) Mitchell, 98, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the New Haven Living Center in Odessa, MO. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to My Sister’s Heart Quilting Group. Naomi was born on November 11, 1921 in Moniteau County, Missouri to Arthur and Mary Matilda (Petree) Huff. After high school, she was united in marriage to James Roy Parsons. They later divorced. On December 26, 1953 Naomi was united in marriage to Harold Leslie “Les” Mitchell in Harrison, Arkansas. He preceded her in death. In the 1950’s Naomi worked at the Brookfield Manufacturing Company in Warrensburg, MO, later becoming a homemaker to take care of her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Naomi also attend the First Christian Church of Odessa and made many friends. She was a member of many local clubs in her younger years. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Naomi enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, quilting, and drawn thread work. Survivors include two daughters, Zona Mitchell and husband Greg Mather, and Sharron Christy and husband Larry, all of Odessa, MO; nine grandchildren; Pam Howell and husband Mike of Odessa, Leslie Parsons of Bates City, MO, Debbie Stevens and husband Mike of Odessa, MO, Angela Fine and husband Clinton of Platte City, MO, Suzanne Rudder and husband George of Kearney, MO, Lincoln Bainbridge and wife Julie of Odessa, MO, Quenton Bainbridge and wife Tiffany of Odessa, MO, Mitchell Bainbridge of Odessa, MO, and Trenton Bainbridge and wife Emily of Lakeland, FL; one daughter in law Dora Parsons of Odessa, MO; twenty one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and one beloved sister in law, Opal Huff of Sedalia, MO. In addition to her parents and husband, Les, Naomi was preceded in death by three sons, Roy Dale Parsons, James Allen Parsons, and Terry Joe Mitchell; five brothers, Wiley, Truman, and Jim Huff, with John and Charles Huff in infancy. Seven sisters, Thelma Brown, Ethel Harmon, Opal Holt, and Irene Benwell, with Wanda, Lilly and Lillian Huff in infancy. Pallbearers are Leslie Parsons, Mike Stevens and Lincoln, Quenton, Trenton, and Mitchell Bainbridge.
