John Eddie Paulsen, 74, of Mayview, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Riverbend Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington, MO.

John was born on December 14, 1946, in Postville, IA to Henry and Velma (Stancil) Paulsen. After receiving his GED, he enlisted in the United States Navy in Elkaker, IA on July 30, 1965. John earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, before transferring to Naval Reserves on July 26, 1968, in Bainbridge, MD, serving until honorably discharged on July 29, 1971. He worked as a delivery driver for FedEx. In addition to spending time with family and friends John enjoyed watching NASCAR, loved Elvis, and was an avid Chiefs football fan.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Carriere (Tim) of Mayview, MO; and two sisters, Ann Ryder (Bob) and Patty Guyer.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
