Lyle Lee Crews, 85 of Wellington, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
A graveside service with military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Greenton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to John Knox Village Hospice. Lyle was born on September 6, 1933 in Wellington, Mo to Lee and Marguerite (Thurmon) Crews. He graduated from Wellington High School. Lyle enlisted into the United States Army, and retired after 22 years. He served in Vietnam and volunteered for multiple tours. He earned many medals including a Bronze Star. Lyle also retired from Lewis & Company in Wellington, MO. He was a Life Member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors include a step-son, Bob Headley and wife Tina of Grain Valley, MO and a step-daughter Jackie Headley of Escalon, California.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents.
