Katherine Dayle (Ray) Rustan, 72, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at her home.
Cremation has been entrusted to Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO 64076, 816-633-5524. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date. Katherine was born on February 26, 1948 to Richard D. and Patricia (Chase) Ray in Billings, MT. After graduating from Lamoni High School in Iowa, she received her BSN degree from Graceland College and fulfilled her career as a dedicated nurse. On May 24, 1992 Katherine was united in marriage to Larry A. Rustan in Des Moines, IA. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Odessa, Missouri. Katherine enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, James McLaughlin and wife Brenda of Olathe, KS, and Larry Rustan Jr. of Bondurant, IA; five grandchildren, Jacob Delong, Joshua Delong, Katie Kerns, Colin McLaughlin, and William McLaughlin; and one brother Howard Ray and wife Kelly of Long Meadow, MA.
In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Jean Crow; and one sister Janie Oxley.
