Helen Jewell (Sanders) Jobe

Helen Jewell (Sanders) Jobe, 89, of Lexington, passed away November 30, 2021, at her home. Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. A funeral service will also be at the funeral home on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at approximately 4pm in Locust Baptist Cemetery, 9277 Webb Rd, Versailles, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital or Preferred Hospice. Memories and condolences may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com. Helen was born May 3, 1932, in Versailles, Missouri to Robert and Fannie (Merriott) Sanders. She married Claudie Ellis Jobe on July 4, 1952. He preceded her in death August 28, 1992. Grandma Helen cared for many children in her home. She was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, reading and country music shows.

Survivors include Helen’s children, Claud “Ken” Jobe and wife Linda of Higginsville, Dwaine “Brad” Jobe and wife Nancy of Chilhowee, Gail Jobe of Lexington, Eric Jobe and wife Michelle of Lexington, and Michelle “Shelly” Hufford of Richmond; 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Jessee Sanders and wife Lillian of Oak Grove and Robert “Buzz” Dale Sanders and wife Shirley of Cole Camp; two sisters, Kathy Griffey and friend Gary Gheens of Independence and Shirley Thompson of Grain Valley; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; grandson, Travis Gassen; and six brothers, Robert Peoples, Billie Sanders, Gerald Sanders, Earl Richard “Dickie” Sanders, David Wayne Sanders and Douglas Sanders.
