Edna Anna Struchtemeyer

May 29, 1922 — April 21, 2019

Edna Anna Clara Struchtemeyer joined her loving husband April 21, 2019. She was a lifetime resident of Missouri, spending 68 years in Lexington, Missouri. Edna was born in Odessa, Missouri May 29, 1922 and lived her childhood in the Mayview, Missouri area until 1942 when she married her husband of 72 years, Elmer Struchtemeyer. Edna Ann was a stay at home mother but contributed to many outside activities including working at Vincent's shoe store, secretary to Stepping Stones, teaching Sunday School and volunteering at the Lafayette County hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; five sisters, three brothers; and her parents, August and Emma Begemann. She is survived by three sons, Wayne and wife Patricia of Olathe, Kansas, Curtis and wife Valerie of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Glen and wife Debra of Pike Road, Alabama; sister, Grace Werning of Higginsville, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions to Trinity UCC of Lexington or Stepping Stones of Independence, Missouri.
Visitation will be at Trinity UCC from 10:00 until 11:00 am, Monday, April 29, 2019 followed by services at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Memory Gardens of Lexington, Missouri.
