Earl Leonard Eggert, 79, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Odessa Restoration Branch, 6783 N. MO-131, Odessa, MO, 64076. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Earl was born on March 22, 1940 in Killdeer, North Dakota to Leonard Manila and Cora Gertrude (Adams) Eggert. He graduated in 1958 from Odessa High School. On September 4, 1959 Earl was united in marriage to Judy (Arndt) Eggert in Centerview, MO. She preceded him in death. He worked for the GM Leed’s Plant for 10 years before starting his own company. Earl owned and operated E&W Construction in Odessa, MO from 1978 to 1998. He was a member and Elder of the Odessa Restoration Branch and served as a past Presiding Elder. Earl was a Boy Scout Master for 12 years. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Earl enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Survivors include four children, Donald Eggert of Leeton, MO, Susan Flandermeyer and husband Ricky of Concordia, MO, Jerry Eggert of Wellington, MO and Teresa Johnson and husband Don of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Amber Rinehart, Melissa Thornton, Valerie Wiskur, Ty Flandermeyer, Crystal Andrist and Sara Johnson; six great grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Eggert and wife Betty of Odessa, MO; one sister Irene Marasch of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Earl was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Dillon and Betty O’Dell.
