Barbara Jean (Moffett) Silvers, 80, of Lake Lafayette, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Blue Springs, MO.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Facemasks are required. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the McKendree Cemetery in Odessa, MO. Memorials are suggested to the McKendree Cemetery Association. Barbara was born on July 19, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth and Charlene (Overby) Moffett. On June 20, 1959 she was united in marriage to John Raymond Silvers. He preceded her in death. Barbara was a homemaker of her home. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Barbara enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was an avid reader.
Survivors include three children, Michael Silvers and wife Michelle of Odessa, MO, Linnie Pollard and husband Matt of Higginsville, MO, and Charles “Chuck” Silvers and wife Nancy of Odessa, MO; two stepbrothers, James Stroud and wife Shirley of Blue Springs, MO, and Scott Barney of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Frost; a brother, Kenneth “Bud” Moffett; and a stepbrother, Gary Barney.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Shane, A.J., and Chuck Silvers.
